Our Story
We began as educators, facilitators, and coaches working in spaces where people often felt unseen or unsure how to use their own light.
Through our shared work in intercultural development, leadership, and creative practice, we witnessed how transformation happens when people feel dignified, curious, and connected.
What started as late-night conversations about purpose and belonging evolved into a collective dedicated to helping individuals and organizations grow their capacity to shine — and to help others shine too.
We believe leadership can be relational, creativity can be a form of renewal, and community can be built one act of courage at a time.

The Co-Founders
The Be Light Collective is co-founded by two partners whose work bridges research and artistry, heart and strategy — creating experiences that are both deeply personal and powerfully collective.

Co-Founder
Eric is a creative facilitator whose work bridges leadership, identity, and artistry. He helps individuals and organizations rediscover their inner light and rebuild cultures of belonging.
With experience designing leadership frameworks, facilitating retreats, and coaching equity-driven teams, Eric blends structure and soul — guiding clients through transformation that’s both creative and sustainable.
His background in facilitation, storytelling, and cultural work shapes the creative core of Be Light Collective.
He believes that transformation doesn’t always happen in the spotlight — sometimes it begins in a quiet conversation, a shared story, or a simple moment of pause.
Emily Aiken, Ph.D.
Co-Founder
Drawing from her background in higher education, research, and intercultural development, she helps individuals and organizations translate complexity into clarity.
As a leadership and intercultural development coach, her work centers on dignity, systems of care, and relational growth across difference — helping teams grow stronger without losing what makes them human.
With experience guiding leaders toward more compassionate cultures, Emily integrates evidence-based coaching with real-world empathy. Her work invites people to see power differently: as something that can be shared, converted, and used to elevate others.
